Central Zone
Cuyo: It is the zone located in the center west of Argentina, conformed by the provinces of Mendoza, San Juan and San Luis. Leaving Santiago de Chile, you cross the Andes mountain range to arrive. Near Mendoza there are several camping in tune with the a pre-cordillerano environment where to leave the camper and go to cross the city.
We are in an expert wine area. There are about 1,700 km where you can go through the Rural Winery and continue along the RN7 to know the Puente del Inca and Cristo Redentor. Other stops will be San Rafael, Bianchi Chamañera and the Ischigualasto Provincial Park.
San Luis is a place of rest, with a great nature where it highlights the most important tourist center, the Villa de Merlo, and the Sierra de las Quijadas National Park.
San Juan, for its part, is known for its wine production. And like the whole area, it has important natural attractions such as the Sanjuaninos Penitentes, horse riding through the Andes Mountain and the Ischigualasto Provincial Park -also known as Valle de la Luna-. It is also an attraction for adventure tourism, such as windsurfing at the Cuesta del Viento.
In a tour of less wine and more of outdoor life you can visit Chacras de Coria, Valle de Uco, Potrerillos -where you can take advantage of rafting adventures-, Barreal, El Leoncito National Park and the Cierras de Quijada, a Interesting city to go. On the way back an excellent place to stop is Uspallata. During this walk, it will also be a good opportunity to get to know Córdoba. The area has good roads and highways.
