After 3 nights in Santiago (a city, we liked a lot) we took a flight to Arica, in the North of Chile, where our camper was already waiting for us. It was our means of transportation, to discover the country, but at the same time our home during 19 days. The camper was very well equiped and is the ideal vehicle to travel through the country.

During our trip we were able to enjoy the beauty of the countryside: coasts, salt lakes, mountains, lakes in high plateau (be careful with the highness, we felt altitude sickness when passing 4.000 m). We were really astonished of the friendlyness of the chilean people. Next time we come to Chile we will concentrate on the south, as the country is immense ... and of course in a camper!
